Saturday evening's Schubert and Beethoven will culminate in a late night presentation of Schubert's Octet for wind and strings. This large-scale chamber work was written in 1824, commissioned by a famous clarinettist of the day. Matt Hunt and Martin Owen will be joined by bassoonist Peter Whelan to complete the wind section, with young double-bassist Adam Wynter joining our Festival string players. This is a performance not to be missed!
Wine served from 9:45pm
